Fact: NetWorker Server 7.x
Symptom: NetWorker is timing out when recovering more than 30GB of data.
Symptom: Error: ‘NSR server (server_name): busy’
Symptom: Error: ‘recover: waiting 30 seconds then retrying’
Cause:
When recoveing data from multiple volumes, the recover client may get repeated ‘server busy’ messages if the Networker software cannot mount all of the volumes at the same time.
Fix:
Workaround: Create a file called ‘no_striped_recover’ in the /nsr/debug of backup server
